Who may say what

The label must give the officially registered name and location (place of state registration) of the manufacturer, and where applicable of the manufacturer's authorised person or importer, whether made in the Customs Union or supplied from third countries (TR CU 022/2011 part 4.8); for cosmetics the importer is the Customs Union resident under the foreign-trade contract, and the label names the organisation that accepts consumer complaints (authorised representative or importer).

Packaged food labelling must be in Russian (and in a member state's state language where its law requires), list name, composition, quantity, production date, shelf life, storage conditions, manufacturer, nutrition value and GMO information, and carry the single EAEU circulation mark (EAC) (part 4.1); cosmetics follow TR CU 009/2011, where manufacturer name, address and product name may be in Latin letters but country of origin must be in the state language and ingredients may be in INCI.

Distinctive-feature statements on food (nutrition value, origin, composition, 'GMO-free' and similar) are voluntary but must be backed by evidence assembled by whoever put the statement on the label (part 4.10), so the brand owner answers for the claim.
